Just a link your tutor sends you. Tap it, and everything about your child's tutoring is there — what's next, what's owed, and what's been covered.

Already have a link from your tutor? Just tap it — there's nothing to set up here.

How a parent gets in.

1
Your tutor sends a link

By email or text — nothing to sign up for in advance.

2
You tap it

A quick one-time email check the first time, then you're in.

3
No password, ever

Nothing to create or remember — the link is what gets you back in.

4
Everything is there

Next lesson, what's owed, the latest report — one screen, kept live.

The link is personal to you and expires after two weeks if unused — ask your tutor to resend it if it ever does.

What you actually see.

Two children, one login, one Direct Debit.

Every child under you sits behind the same link — switch between them in a tap, and a Direct Debit mandate is set up once, never twice, however many children you have with the same tutor.

The report lands, and you actually understand it.

Coverage shown in plain English against your tutor's own plan — no exam-board jargon — plus the report itself the moment it's published, with an email that tells you it's there.

What's paid, what's owed — no more guessing texts.

Invoices and receipts, self-serve, so there's no more "did I already pay you?" message to send. Prefer to pay ahead? Credit sits against your account until it's used.

Ask to move a lesson. Change your mind about a consent. Both in a tap.

Request a different time and nothing moves until your tutor agrees. A consent you've given — for a note to be recorded, say — can be taken back any time, and it's logged either way.

An older child can get their own link to their schedule, if you choose

Before your first lesson together.

Do I need to create an account?

No — never a password. The first time, there's a quick one-time email check to confirm it's really you; after that, the link is all you need to get back in.

What if I lose the link, or it's old?

Ask your tutor to resend it. Links are personal to you and expire on their own after two weeks, so an old one sitting in an inbox isn't a risk.

A one-off payment link works instantly, no email check at all?

Yes — a pay-now or manage-mandate link you're sent for a specific action really is single-tap: the link itself is the credential, valid for an hour. It's only the first time you set up ongoing access that includes the one-time email confirmation.

Can my older child see their own schedule?

If you choose to share it — you can grant them their own link to their own schedule and coverage, never the money side. It's optional, and you can revoke it any time.

Does Slate ever hold my money?

No — Stripe processes it and it lands with your tutor. Credit balance is just bookkeeping of what you've prepaid; nothing sits in an account Slate controls.

If your tutor uses Slate, there's nothing else to set up.

Ask them to send you the link. If you're a tutor reading this instead, seven days free is enough to see what your own parents would see.
